Day Ten: Bake A Camembert
JUST. DO.IT. This is all about making something indulgent for yourself. If you love a four layer chocolate gateau, make that. If, like us, you love cheese try this super gooey fancy baked camembert recipe from BBC Goodfood. Definitely check out their brownie recipe too, it’s a winner.
Quite simply, this is about indulging in some cooking that isn’t about counting calories, or rushing to get it done in 20 minutes. Take your time, pour some wine, and bake.
250g camembert or brie, or other similar cheese (in it’s box)
1 tbsp vermouth, or dry white wine, or kirsch
2 thyme sprigs
pinch of dried chilli flakes
crackers or toasted bread, to serve
Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6.
Unwrap 250g camembert, brie or similar from its packaging, then place back into its box.
Slash the cheese a few times and top with 1 tbsp vermouth, dry white wine or kirsch, 2 thyme sprigs and a pinch of dried chilli flakes.
Bake on a baking tray for 20 mins until gooey. Serve with toasted bread or crackers for dipping.
